Excalibur Brake Job Customers Say . . .
Honest Mechanics! These guys are great! When the Toyota dealership told me that I had to replace all my brake pads immediately, I went in for a second opinion at Excalibur (where I have been going for years), and they put my car on the rack and looked at the brakes and told me that I had at least another 10 to 15,000 miles to go. If things need to be fixed they do a good job. If things don’t need to be fixed they’ll tell you that as well!

Toyota TundraI had been traveling from Boerne texas to Austin for the weekend to visit my sister. About a 2 1/2 hour drive. I noticed late that evening when I arrived that my breaks were squeaking really bad. Sounding as though it was already worn past the break pad and rubbing metal to metal. Since it was the weekend, finding some that Saturday to do the work wasn’t happening but I needed to get back to my home town. I was a little frantic to find someone that could take me in on that following Monday and hopefully be able to get the work done that day so I could take off back home that Monday evening. Excalibur was up to the task, the staff was very friendly and helpful, answering all my questions over the phone before coming in, as well as giving me different pricing options as to what I might be looking at for the repairs. All said and done they were very flexible in working me in that monday, as well as having my breaks done by the end of the day. They were able machine flatten or polish the rotor down since it did have some damage and replace the pads. Everything works great and I was able to get the repair done all that day. I’m very satisfy and happy with Excalibur!! Thanks!

Nissan Frontier 2WDLong story but worth the read. I waited until all of my repairs were done for a month before writing this review. My Ford Escape experienced some trouble with the brake sounds and had uneven tire pressure which was causing lots of upkeep. The noise was startling so took car to Firestone near my house. They had their engineer “drive and verify” the problem with my car and deemed it “unsafe to drive”, even though I had driven my car there. They quoted me 3,000 dollars for a part that did not match the description so looked at other shops that could help. I saw Excalibur and they were willing to take a look at my car and advised me on what they thought. Firestone refused to release my car because it was “unsafe to drive”. I threatened to call the cops and they still refused unless I signed a waiver releasing them of any pending lawsuits. I refused and got a tow truck to get my car to Excalibur. I even recorded audio of the Firestone employees with their advice and false recommendations.story but worth the read. Excalibur went OUT OF THEIR WAY, drove to Firestone to be an advocate for me, ensure I was taken care of. Worked with me through the next few days to get the correct diagnostic, correct part, and quick turnaround. all for 2,000 less than I was quoted.
It has been a month and a half and my car is running perfectly for a much more effective fix than Firestone was advising. Best car repair service I have experienced and have just moved to Austin so will keep with them for my car needs. If anyone has any questions on my experience, please use me as a reference or reply with questions. 100% recommend them for anything you need or even need a quality second opinion. Good luck.
