Excalibur Supports ASE Certification
At Excalibur Auto Repair, we encourage (and support!) our technicians as they pursue and maintain Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certifications.
The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) is an independent, non-profit professional certification agency. ASE Automobile Technician certifications promote excellence in automotive vehicle repair and service. Certification requires two years of professional hands-on work experience, subject area mastery, and successful completion of difficult examinations. (Only two-thirds of technicians pass a subject exam on their first attempt.)
The ASE Master Automobile Technician certification requires mastery of all eight automotive subject areas:
- Engine Repair
- Automatic Transmission/Transaxle
- Manual Drive Train & Axles
- Suspension & Steering
- Brakes
- Electrical/Electronic Systems
- Heating & Air Conditioning
- Engine Performance
Worldwide, there are fewer than 100,000 ASE Master Automobile Technicians.
